The North Shore Youth Symphonic Wind Band is a multi-award winning concert band based on Auckland's North Shore. The band's primary focus is on providing an environment in which young brass, woodwind and percussion musicians can learn and excel at fun and challenging music, alongside experienced conductors and talented fellow members. This is done in a social environment in which members are able to meet and network with other musicians.

The band regularly performs at events around Auckland and the rest of New Zealand. In particular, it performs annually at the national festival held by the New Zealand Concert Bands Association. It also stages regular community concerts.

Players are given additional opportunities to develop their musicianship through forming smaller ensembles or performing as a soloist.

As of 2016, we have introduced a junior contingent, to cater to younger players of ability levels similar to grade 2-5.
